Cascade Aquatic and Recreation Center
The SVCRD sincerely thanks everyone that supported the dream of the Cascade Aquatic and Recreation Center! The building is almost finished. The pool will be done by mid July, 2016.
The Board of Directors and Staff of the SVCRD recognize this project is the result of the efforts of many people over many years!!
After years of fund-raising by the Swimming Pool Association in Cascade, the Southern Valley County Recreation District was formed for the purpose of collecting a fee each year from property taxes in order to raise enough money to build a year-round swimming pool and recreation center. Since 1999, other recreation programs have been established with varying degrees of success. The SVCRD purchased 4 acres from the old Boise Cascade Mill site with 100 degree geothermal water.
Today a 2.2 million capital campaign, to raise the remainder of the money to build the Cascade Aquatic and Recreation Center , was successful, and the building is currently under construction at 333 Kelly’s Parkway, in Cascade, Idaho.
